28-year-old Marilyn Niqui McCown from Dayton, Ohio, vanished on July 22, 2001. Everyone thought she was on a simple visit to the laundromat. They lived to regret that assumption. Niqui’s body or murderer has still not been found, but the family isn’t ready to give up. They built a bench at Glen Miller Park on July 22, 2021, to commemorate Niqui’s memory. Where did Niqui go?
A Life Worth Living
Niqui was a hard worker and made sure to give back to her community. She worked at the Montgomery Education and Pre-Release Center in Dayton, Ohio. She also took criminal justice courses in her free time. She was passionate and ambitious, determined to build a future she could be proud of. Little did she know that the future would be snatched away from her so soon.
Niqui and her fiancé, Robert “Bobby” Webster, were about to get married in 3 weeks when she disappeared. Even though initially a suspect, Bobby soon cleared his name.
