On January 9, 2010, 22-years-old Alexandra Tobias made a frantic call to 911 from her home in Jacksonville, Florida, where she lived with Dylan, her three-month-old son, and her husband, EJ Edmondson. Alexandra explained to the authorities that her baby had been knocked off the couch by a dog and had hit his head.

However, investigators soon came to realize that the truth was even worse.

Following the advice of a 911 dispatcher, she desperately attempted mouth and chest compressions until paramedics arrived. Dylan did not respond and was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The doctors worked tirelessly and did everything they could to save his life. But unfortunately, it was not enough. After hours of frequent interventions, with Dylan exhibiting disorganized breathing, he passed away the next morning.

Alexandra was visibly devastated. Those close to her said she was a very protective mother who always did her best to ensure Dylan was safe and comfortable. While family and…
