Evil showed its true face on the eve of Friday the 13th in 1995. Four teenage students went for a walk in the desolate woods of the campus of the University of Tennessee. Three of them were practicing members of a satanic cult. The fourth, Colleen Slemmer, was a naive teen from Florida who tagged along for free weed. With Christa Pike acting like the alpha, the satanic teens ensured that Colleen never saw daylight again.
What corrupted Christa so extremely?

Born in 1976, Christa Pike was brought up in a strictly Christian home by her grandmother. Her childhood was mostly spent playing in her grandfather’s slaughterhouse. While pregnant, her mother was a raging alcoholic, which had serious detrimental effects on Christa’s mental development. But she was quite an ordinary kid. That is till her grandmother’s death when Christa was just four years old. It was then that she made her first suicide attempt- at the tender age of four. After her grandmother’s death, she was sent to live with her mother, a nurse technician, and an alcoholic.
Horrible Male Role Models and an Absent Mother
From then onwards, Christa’s life was highlighted by traumas of every sort, mostly at the hands of her mother’s various boyfriends. One of them even constructed a whip specifically to beat her and hung it over her bed like a trophy. She regularly began self-harming as a psychological response. She finally escaped in 1994 when she enrolled in a Job Corps program at the University of Tennessee. Christa began training as a nursing assistant.
And it was here that she met her Tadaryl Shipp. She took an instant liking to him since he was the only man in her life who hadn’t abused her. This feeling of protection led to infatuation, and following in Tadaryl’s footsteps, Christa took up Satanism. They seemed like regular adolescents from the outside, but in reality…
