The Childhood of Haigh
John George Haigh was born in 1909 in Lincolnshire. Haigh was brought up in a strictly religious household, with his parents being members of one of the strictest conservative Protestant sects known as the Plymouth Brethren. Haigh had once confessed that when he was just a boy, he had religious nightmares constantly, which everyone suspected was due to his strict upbringing.
