Every woman fears being sneakily drugged and raped. For Christy Giles and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, their worst fear materialized in the most unsuspected place on November 12, 2021.

Friends Head To Rave After Doing Drugs

On November 12, Christy and Hilda went to their trusted hangout spot in Los Angeles: an art studio where they had safely dabbled in drugs multiple times. Christy used cocaine and ketamine and smoked marijuana there. Predictably enough, both friends headed towards a rave in an industrial stretch of East L.A. afterwards, arriving at the venue at 1:10 am.

Both wanted to have fun, to let loose after a day’s hard work. Little could they have predicted this would be their last night. Surveillance video showed that the three murderers arrived two hours later: David Pearce, Brandt Osborn and Michael Ansbach.

Brandt was a 42-year-old average actor with few credits in low-budget productions. David, too, was an average actor from Staten Island.

The three men were high on cocaine, and David soon stumbled onto Hilda. At around 4:21 am, Hilda texted Christy asking if she wanted to do cocaine. Christy replied in the affirmative, heading towards the kitchen where Hilda was. David handed them a drug- however, it was much more than just coke, as the forensic report would detail. But by then, it would be too late.

Security cameras showed the women leaving the rave with the three men. They headed to David and Brandt’s apartment on Olympic Boulevard at 5:11 am. Only twenty minutes later, Christy sent an urgent text to Hilda, and both had a short but revealing exchange:

Christy: “Let’s go”
