Born in 1935, George’s rough childhood was no secret. With a father who abandoned his family to live in the slums, George resorted to petty crime. He would often be roped into abetting his stepfather’s elaborate criminal ploys and be used as a distraction.

George developed a love for the life of crime and the hope for the power it represented. Power protected and made you invincible, and he wasn’t going to let anything stand between him and a life of privilege. He is quoted as saying:
