Thirty-eight-year-old Californian man Cary Stayner murdered four women between February and July 1999. However, he had fantasized about brutally kidnapping, raping, and killing women for a long time. Everyone who knew Cary was shocked to their bones. If there ever was a harmless man, it was him. However, the casually cruel nature of the crimes disturbed Californians for long afterward.

A Disturbing Childhood

When Cary was 11, his brother Steven Stayner was kidnapped by child molester Kenneth Parnell in 1972. For the seven years that Steven was heartlessly in captivity, Cary’s life was at a standstill. He even had to stay with his uncle Jesse Stayner so that his parents could get it together. But, unfortunately, it was later revealed that Jesse molested young Cary.
